Do you know what year it is? It looks like it would be a 3rd generation is but looks a little off. Most oem IS rims would have 10 spokes, this one has 14... Hmm... But try searching "3rd generation IS350" and look at the wheels. But if you really wanna see if your buddy is right, just check with a dealer

Not sure the year he bought them for the tires as takeoffs, searched around nada i posted it on the Is section also. Thanks for the suggestion.
