Yeah, I guess that was a bit harsh... I'm just amused by all the "what's the widest wheel/tire set-up I can do on my Lexus XX100 without modifications?" questions here. All the super-cool european looking cars have modified fenders- ALL Brabus cars are modified... what's the big deal?
You've got to "roll" to roll !!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Bear with my stupid question - but what exactly is fender rolling? Is it the modification of the plastic liner that is inside the fender or is it the modificaiton of the metal body panel above the wheel? I have always shied away from "fender rolling", but I guess my hesitation in doing that was simply ignorance. You obviously don't think it is a big deal, so I would love to know exactly what is "fender rolling".
Maybe I will be convert and will go the fat fat route when I upgrade my rims - 285/30 - 19 on the back - sweet!!!
Thanks!

i dont think it's stupid to have a different set on either side. you get 2 looks for the price of 1. you cant see both sides of the car at one time, so there is no mismatch. i really want to do it, but the only downside is buying wheels with the same moments of inertia would be hard to do.

I guess I should post something since that is my car.
I had a Brabus S430 and went through 3 sets of wheels in 2 years. Since I have the attention span of a 5 year old on crack and meth and changing wheels that often was a WASTE of money, I decided why not and went with 2 sets of wheels.
Why? Because you can only see one side at a time!
Yes, the setup is very conservative. Could've went another 1" lip in the front and another .5" lip in the rear. But I didn't want to deal with fender rolling or rubbing issues. Maybe next time ya?
The finish is NOT chrome. FULL POLISH with clearcoat. C'mon, i'm chinese. My rap/basketball/football career ended a LONG time ago
anyways, continue on!

nice car. i don't see what's wrong with having different wheels on each side. i even considered that. i've also seen an sc430 with different wheels on the left and right.
i like your car. i like the wheels with more spokes...dunno which model that is.
