Question BMW M5-like 18" wheels on GS430?

I've started thinking about putting 18" wheels on my 2001 GS430. When I think about what I'd like to see on my car, my mind's eye keeps showing me the 18" alloy wheels on the BMW M5 with a sunken lip and narrow spokes.

Now, I know almost NOTHING about wheels other than what appeals to me aesthetically!!! So I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a wheel that would appeal to my tastes given what I've said above. I can imagine that I'd be hip to a staggered setup for that aggressive forward stance, but again, I'm looking for you guys to tell me!

Any pics of a GS4 with wheels like what you're recommending would be great!

Thanks in advance for all advice,
Scott

You know...I actually had looked at the L-Tuned 18"s a few times and for some reason didn't see the similarlity until you just pointed it out. The spoke pattern is almost identical, but the L-Tuned lips are flush instead of recessed. Still, for the price it's hard to argue given how close they are...and they still have the Lexus "L" in the center cap, not that that matters much.

So here's a question about the L-Tuned 18"s, then. Carson Toyota charges $2,149 for them, but lists it as:

"Wheel and Tire Assembly
18" Wheel / Michelin Pilot Sport tires, set of 4 mounted and balanced
18" x 8" Front , 18" x 9.5" Rear"

Am I to infer that Carson Toyota's price includes installation and balancing at even my local Lexus dealer somehow? I can't imagine that that would be the case...

Like I said, I'm pretty dumb here...

Interesting. Those look really nice. Anyone know where I can buy these in the US so I can look at pricing?

The nice thing about the Weds wheel compared to the BMW M and the L-Tuned wheel is that it has a nice lip!

Althought I must admit, one of our members has a SC with the L-Tuned OZ Salina wheel and it looks pretty nice. The lack of lip actually makes the wheel look larger than it really is...looks like a 19" wheel...

I'm assuming you're talking about UTGS400. If so, we're both in Austin, so I'm going to try to hook up with him to see those wheels in person. I'm leaning pretty heavily toward them based on the overall combination of looks, value, quality, etc.

I found an exact replica. Its called Moven M1. I could not get any information on the offset or bolt pattern.
Its only available 18x8.5 only. I would love to get these but could not get any reply.
Any info would be awesome. The on on the picture is Silver. Don't know what chrome looks like.
Here's the link.

Cool. So what's the story on Moven as a brand? I know that OZ and Weds are generally considered of very high quality, but I've not heard of Moven (not saying much...I did profess my ignorance of this subject up above). I'll try to find out what I can...

Just their Web site here. I was going to give New Century Wholesale, their preferred US distributor, a call today to ask about the quality of the wheels and pricing from them. I'll post up anything I find out.

Question How much can I get for my stock 17" wheels (and tires)?

So if I'm going to put 18"s on my GS430, I was wondering how much I could get for my current 17" alloy stock wheels. I've seen people selling them around here so I assume there's a demand for them.

I also have a set of Dunlop SP Sport 5000s on them that have about 50% wear. I was planning to wait until I needed new tires to get the new wheels, but if my current 17"s would sell just as well with the rubber then perhaps I'll do this sooner than I'd originally intended.

As always, any insight is appreciated...
