Discount Tire Direct has plenty in the 150-160 range. That includes shipping in the price.

Thanks for the link bro. Those were the tires I was going to get but they have a max load of 90 and I need 91 or higher. They won't install them at the shop due to safety. It sucks that I can't.

You need to go to another shop. I never heard of that before.

You are wrong! Load ratings are extremely important and you should never go below the load rating of the OEM tires installed by the vehicle manufacturer. It's an important safety factor.

I normally go discount tire direct. Factor in free shipping and no tax for the majority of the states it can make them much cheaper. Especially if you live in a high sales tax state like CA.

Load rating ARE important; however, manufacturers over-inflate the recommended load ratings to ensure safety. I'll just quote another members statement of how over-inflated the load ratings really are :

"By the way, load rating 88 = 1,235 pounds/tire, and 95 = 1,521 pounds/tire. Curb weight (unloaded) of the IS350 is 3,527.4 lbs, so that gives you about 1,985 pounds of people and cargo to max out the OEM tires."

But even this being said, alot of chain stores will not work on your car unless you have or will purchase appropriate load rated tires for your specific model/yr car.

Okay to go with a higher speed rating or load index but never a good idea to go backwards. And why would you, honestly? The higher speed rating and load index gives you a stiffer sidewall and better handling.

As for where I've bought mine.... I search Discount Tire's site and then search the tire I'm after on eBay (they have an eBay store). I bought a pair of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus for the front a couple of years ago but honestly hate the way the tire looks from the side. The tread patter looks like weird hooks where it meets the sidewall at the shoulder. When it was time for rear tires last year, I opted for the Hankook V12 Evos. They have a "Y" speed rating, treadwear rating of 280 so they are pretty sticky and a traction rating of AA. Will be putting them on the front when it is time to pull the Michelins for sure. I have the W rated Hankook S1 Noble2s on my Accord which only requires a V rated tire and I love them.

America's Tire. You can always price match to any competitor out there so you can be sure to get the lowest price on a set of new tires.

My point was why does the IS350 need a load rating of 91 or higher. The Hankook Ventus tires I linked the OP has a load rating of 90 for 245/30/20. The IS350 has a curb weight of about ~3600lb. Hankook tires loaded at 90 rating = 1323lb per tire. 1323lb x 4 = 5,292lb. So tell me what safety factor will the OP have?

BTW, I have ran 90 load rating tires in the past multiple times on the IS350 without any problems.

Exactly ^. I had the same situation at TR because the "clerks" didn't have a clue. I was putting OEM Lexus RX tires on Toyota Highlander Limited (same model year for both), they wouldn't ship it.

So my local shop with actual tire knowledge and experience took care of it, worked perfectly which comes as no surprise.

I go to Discount Tire and have them match either Discount Tire Direct or Tirerack. Costco has done a spectacular job of screwing up installations on several occasions, at different locations, and I don't trust them. They don't teach their techs the amazing technique of starting the lugnut on the threads before using the impact wrench, which is all it would take to not cross-thread them. They have also marred a set of wheels.
Discount tire has the road hazard warranty and they are okay with me watching them do the installation, which is something I prefer. It's amazing how much more careful a tech is when they're watched by the customer.
As an FYI, Discount Tire has the $100 off $400 on eBay occasionally, which is great for some people because they can buy two pairs(at $400 per pair) and get $200 off the set. It's always great getting $800 for $600.
