Es 300 wheel size largest?
I can get a deal on 18 x 8.5 wheels for my 94 es 300. some sites say they will fit others say it is two large. I talked to a custom shop over the phone in california and they said they have put them on a lot of es300.
I posted this on the es board and the largest some one repiled there was 18 x 8 and said they rub with weight in the back. the offset on the ones I an get is 40.
If I have to purchase wheels I will probally go with 7.5 just so they will not rub at all. what does everyone think.?
any help would be appreciated
Thanks

From spending a lot of time researching fitments for the ES, it appears that 225 is as wide of a tire as one can go without fender mods and/or putting up with rubbing. 225 would work best on a 7.5" width rim. However, Tire Rack, whose opinion I trust, lists 215 width tires on 8" wide wheels as a fitment for the ES. The 215 series tires are going to looked stretched on a 8" wheel, let alone an 8.5," though.
