Default Tire Bubbles caused by???

What's up guys. I had a set of tires that I used on my old rims.

Tires seemed fine. No bubbles or anything of the sort.

I bent a rim, sold them And decided to keep the tires because they were pretty good.

I stored them in my backyard. They were exposed to the elements.

Fast forward to yesterday. Got my new rims and installed the tires at a tire shop.

Noticed a bubble and immediately checked the tire pressure. It was higher than my gauge could read. (Stops at about 50 psi)

So could that over inflation cause the bubble? I've never seen a bubble before

Or could them being exposed to the elements cause the tire to weaken ???

Thank you all

I read that prior to making the post. But it doesn't really address my concern of if the elements or even age combined with over inflating can contribute to bulging .

Anyone with personal experiences ?

under inflation causes bubbles due to impact and separation of the layers of rubber inside the tire as far low pros go. I am not sure about over inflation but that could be an issue but i am leaning to under inflation..

Overinflation can make a tire more susceptible to sidewall damage, aka impact bruises...

Storing them inside, outside, wherever, will not cause this issue - there we would be talking about cracking, etc.

How did you bend your old rim? Is it possible you also damaged the tire sidewall as well?

How long were they stored?
