Whats the biggest size RIMs can my '99 GS3 can fit?
Right now i have stock 17's on it. Theres alot of space under the fender. Im thinking i should put 20's but im afraid that theres still going to be some space under that fender. I cant stand a car with rims and it still has alot of fender space. I dont mind going bigger than 20in either. So people help me out . . THanKz . .

With 20's on the car, you'll probably have to do a little modding with the fender lining. I've seen 20's on GS400_Pusher's and they look awesome. There's is hardly any gap. You won't even need suspension to drop it after the 20's. Maybe L-Tuned suspension?
DO NOT go bigger than 20's. Anything larger will look like an SUV and then the "sweetness" of the rims will become ugly.

now when you say "modding the fender lining", what exactly do you mean? Like . . what exactly must b done to it? Plus, if i do go with 20's, will i have problems with my tires wearing out unevenly? If so, how can i fix that also? . . ThanX

you can put 20's on the car no problem, and not have to do any fender modding. Even with a mild drop 1" -1.5" you can still get away without having to roll or cut anything.i had 20's on my GS with 255/35/ZR20 tires and was lowered on Eibach springs about 1", and there was no rubbing issues at all.If you decide to run a wide wheel/tire in the back you might have to roll the fenders if you decide to drop it lower.i recall Synergy having to do some very extensive wheel well modding to get his car to be able to ride as low as it is, I think he is dropped @ 2inches though.(?)
dont do 21's though, itll look very suv'ish and toyish. 20's with a mild 1"-1.5" drop will look the best if you are going for the big wheel look, with minimal fender gap.Look in the gallery or do a search there are tons of pics on this site of GS' with 20's and a drop.

Hold up a sec.. I had 20X8.5 on my car with a +41 offset and I had really zero rubbing problems with over a 2" drop and no fender modding.. And to I'm going to have to differ with my buddy KEVS on that you won't need to upgrade your suspension.. You will definetly need to drop your car or you'll have that SUV look.. Here, look at the difference.. Her's my car when lowered with 20's...

Don't worry about potholes. I live in ny and I have 20's with Eibach springs I never had a flat (so far) but as long as you drive with some sense and you keep the price of the rims (good ones) and tires in your head you'll be fine so get the 20's and get ya floss on ..........BUT watch out for the HATERS!!!
PS: and I travel the five boroughs all the time it's like that with the 20's ya get all the HONEYS

I'm in the city all the time and in the Bronx about everyday... No problems at all... Just choose what kind of suspension you want carefully... Also if your worried about potholes why are you worried about dropping it?? You should be worried about bending rims...

If you log on to cardomain, and look under lexus-gs300 models, you can see a white one with 21" Giovanna Dramas. IMO, these cars are way to short to put those size wheels on. It looks like someone is holding the car above the wheels by the roof!! Like someone else suggested, go 20s, 255/35-20s, and get a drop. YOU GOTTA GET THE DROP, I think the demo by the kid with the gray 99 demonstrated that point to the T!!!!
ps hope i didnt break any rules by posting that address
