3 Piece wheel question

I always wondered how do all these 3 piece wheel companies know what offsets and widths to make for a particular car? Like when a new car comes out, do they go to the dealer and take measurements?

They have a relationship with the manufacuturer and they prob pay for the specs before the car hits the sales floor.

Wheel manufacture's either ask consumer or dealer to use the car for measurement's.

Things that get measured

Pcd / Brake Clearance / Center Bore / X Factor
