Default Removing Paint

Alright guys, I have some rear Supra TT wheels and I'm trying to get the color back to it's factory silver looking color. The previous owner painted them and now they look like poop. I tried paint thinner already and there was no luck, and aircraft paint remover, but I haven't tried acetone but I have tried it with some previous wheels and they still didn't come off. Any ideas? I wanna do it myself rather than go to a shop.

What kind of paint stripper can't strip paint? What are you using lol?

A decent paint stripper should take care of any paint, including professional hardened clearcoat, etc... It's a veyr messy process though... heads up

I wouldn't sand blast them as the process might pit the wheels. I'd try using ground walnut shells or soda blasting for less / no damage to the wheels, going for the soda blasting first.

Believe it or not, I've tried a couple things and it seems like the paint doesn't want to come off. It looks like there's a heavy coat on it. I've been looking into bead blasting, does little damage to the face of the wheels. But it is pricey.
