Default Anyone using drag slicks on a GS?

I'm thinking about getting a set for when I go to the track. I've got Nitto drag radials on the rear of my GS, but I still get way too much wheel spin on launch - even if I heat them up.

Wondered if anyone else out there has done this - what type of wheel are you using and are you just changing the rear tires or do you change the fronts as well?

You can't put anything on the front, the brakes are too big!!!

On the rear, only certain wheels will fit due to the brakes and control arms.

A good tire would be a M/T 26x10 15

Anything taller than 26 would not allow the car to leave very well.

Oh..forgot to give you some other important information...

Use a 15x10 wheel if possible, if not a 15x8 or 15x9 will work.

Run like 16 psi, make sure both tires are EXACTLY same psi (within .25 psi). Dont' use the regular tire gauge, get a good low (usually 0-25 or 0-30) psi dial face gauge.

You won't need to put the rim screws in, you can also run it with no tubes, just make sure you keep constant tabs on the tire pressure. *Of course I hereby release any legal liability on this point

You can go below 16 psi, but with that heavy car it gets a little dangerous, plus I doubt you will have any problems with the car hooking anyways.

Whatever you do don't go below 13 on that car.
