Default Moda R6 18's with Michelin Pilot Sports

Hi all,

I'm pretty sure I'd go w/ Moda R6 18's since I see how good it looks on Clint's SC and my car's the exact same black '97+ model.

Are Moda R6 18" rims with MICHELIN Pilot Sports tires (about 400 miles on the wheels/tires) worth $800 shipped?

The specs for the tires are 255/45/18. How good is this tire? Should I find other better performing ones? What do you guys recommend? Also, since these are used, they are mounted already. Do I still need to worry about offset..etc? Thanks for your feedback - I'm a pretty newbie when it comes to this stuff.

Legend,

What are the wheel specs?

I thought the Moda's were 8" rims? If so, then the 255's are a tad wide. If the offset lines up, you should be okay.

$800 is a good price if they are in good condition. If the tires are worn, you may opt to go down to a 245 tire.

pcmw,

here's what the seller wrote:

THE TIRES ARE PILOT SPORTS AND THE DIMENSIONS ARE 255 X 45 X 18". THE TIRES AND WHEELS HAVE APPROX. 400 MILES ON THEM.
THE WHEELS ARE SPOTLESS, NO SCRATCHES, AND THE TIRES STILL HAVE THE RUBBER '****' ON THEM, WITH VIRTUALLY NO WEAR. THE TIRES ALONE ARE WORTH $750 AS THEY ARE TOP OF THE LINE PILOT SPORT XGT Z4'S WHICH SELL FOR OVER
$300 NEW, EACH. THE WHEELS COST ME APPROX. $375 EACH.

the prices at $800 shipped is a good price for me. are you sure 255's are too wide? I think on TireRack it states the Moda R6 comes with either 18X8 or 18X9's, maybe I should ask the seller? Do you know what offset I should be using?
