Widest tires on a 18x8 wheel?

what would you put on it?

i want to get at least a 265 on it...
will it fit?

no dude, your looking at 245's maybe 255, but no way 265's

Go to tirerack.com, pick the tire you like, click on it, click on specs, find the size you want, see the recommended rim width range...

Problem solved.

Keep in mind you probably don't want to put the tire on either of the extremes (narrowest or widest allowed rim). But you should be OK with anything else which 1/2 in away from the limit.
