Default Rim Question IS350

Going to look at a set of graphite rims for IS350. The weird thing is they are all 8.5 wide. How would that effect offset, ride, rubbing on fenders, etc. If I ran my 225/40 on the front and regular 255/40 on the back. Has anyone run this combo with any drawbacks? It's only 1/2 so can be much difference. Will this make it track any different. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

It's not really a dramatic change. 1/2" wider wheel, so the wheel will sit 1/4" further to the outside and 1/4" further to the inside. The wheel will fit both of your stock tire sizes 225/40R18 front and 255/40R18. There would be little to no difference in ride or driving dynamics as the tire sizes will remain the same sizes.
