FYI: HRE introduces 840R series on new site
Here are the first 'official' images of the 840R series wheels, which debuted at SEMA just a few weeks ago.
The 840Rs are forged three-piece, but feature 'hidden hardware' technology, clearance for massive brakes, and are designed for maximum lip exposure. 18", 19", and 20" sizes will be available January '03

I like em but I am still partial to the bolts if you want a performance look.
I think the new ones would be better suited on a large car or suv...thinking 745, S500, or LS430.

The RH Evolution C2's are not an original design...the design of the HRE wheels actually comes from their 640R line which pre-dates the Evo C2...the contour is different too..the C2 is flat, the 840R has a nice curve to the spokes...not as much as the 540Rs though...
It does look similar, but the build quality difference is day and night. The RH Evo line is made for Dazz my Prime Wheels in the USA...just regular cast wheels...the HRE's are, as you know, are 3-piece forged wheels. Also, the C2's sizing is VERY limited due to it's one piece design (it costs a lot to make molds and every size change requires a new mold).
When you see them in person, you will never mistake the 840R for the C2...
Peter...so the race is on? I have been considering the 841R also...dunno which one to do...a set of 845R's on my SC would look tight (Bob, that's hint... )
