Background: 2GS400 w/18"x9.5" rims.

I need new back tires. I want Pirelli Pzero nero All Seasons in a 275/35/18, but apparently they don't make that size anymore. So my question is will a 285 in the same tire rub the fenders?

For what I want, my choices are pretty slim. I want an all season, asymmetrical tread so I can at least do a side to side rotation. I run a staggered setup, so front to back is out. I currently have Conti DWS on now. They're ok, a bit noisy compared to the Pirellis. Should I find another tire in the same size, or would I be ok with the 285? At this time, I'm not willing to roll the fenders.

What are your opinions?

Pirelli P6 4 seasons or Kumho Ecsta ASX are about the only other two I can think of in your size...

Don't care for the P6s. Have used Kumho ASXs, they're ok, kind of noisy. Pulled the trigger on some Nitto Motivos. They're about the only uhp all seasons in that size that I haven't tried. Press seems to like them, & another member here posted his impressions, which seems to be good. We'll see. Worst case, I'll exchange them for another pair of DWSs.

I don't think that 285 will work without some type of modification. Given the size and requirement for an asymmetrical tire the selection is pretty slim. Kumho does have the new Ecsta 4X which a dramatically better than the previous Escta ASX model, might be worth a look.

I'll keep the 4Xs in mind next time around. Got the Motivos installed this morning. We'll see how they work out.

I'm just really bummed Pirelli quit making a 275/35/18 in the pzero nero all season. They still make the 265 & 285, WTH? I love the pzero nero all seasons!!
