Default Grand Touring Tire for IS250

Hello,

I am looking for an all season grand touring tire for my IS250. Noise, no vibration and comfort is my priority and i am not an aggressive driver. I do drive fast but ultimately want something that is not junk.

Had a Continental DWS before and it was impossible to balance and had lots of high speed vibrations. Noise wise, the DWS was actually good. But the vibrations were just so bad.

I just got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/s Plus and feel that it is amazingly noisy and has a lot of feedback over bumps and gaps on the road. I dont think that Ultra high performance tires suit
me. So i am now looking for a grand touring tire.

I am particular interested in the Michelin Primacy MXM4. I have heard that this tire might be noisy but have only heard a small sample size since there are not many that have MXM4s on their IS.

Can someone help me please? I just want my lexus to drive like one less all the noise and vibrations..

You can get a quieter tire by moving to Grand Touring tire. These will have a softer ride with lower road noise but you also said you drive fast so please keep in mind that the extra ride comfort will come at the cost of steering response and summer time grip. As long as you go into the tire purchase knowing these grand touring tires will feel a but more sluggish than what you are currently using than everything is ok. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S +, you are using is a great ultra high performance tire and one of the "quieter" performance tires. The quietest ride you can get is from a Grand Touring tire and I would recommend:

Michelin Primacy MXM4

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity

I'm kind of in the same situation where noise and comfort are bigger concerns than the handling since I drive 90% on freeways. How much softer are the Primacy's compared to the A/S +? The survey results are pretty similar for the tires but part of that might be different expectations based on the different categories these tires belong to

The survey results are not really comparable because the Primacy is a Grand Touring All-Season and the A/S + is an Ultra High Performance All-Season. So, lets say they both score a 9 out 10 in noise and ride comfort, a 9 in a Grand Touring is not the same as 9 in Ultra High Performance. The tires are built for 2 different purposes, there is not a "quantitative" amount of ride comfort and ride noise improvements I can give. But I can say it is a very noticeable difference between the two and if you want a smoother quieter ride the Grand Touring All-Season would be my recommendation.
