BFG G-Force KDWS at Costco
If anyone in the Bay Area is in the market for a set of Z-rated all around tires with great price, check out the BFG g-Force KDWS. It's a special order at Costco, the 234/45/ZR17 are $123.99/tire installed ($113.99 + $1 disposal fee + $9 mount/balance) + tax. Mounting, rotation, and balancing is lifetime.
We just got a set installed and they are extremely quiet and handle just fine for our type of driving (normal). We chose the KDWS because of the treadwear rating of 400 and AA traction rating and also because it was cost half that of the Michelin Sport A/S.
Costco also carries Bridgestone Potenza S-03 (220 AA A) and Michelin Sport A/S (400 AA A) if anyone wants something different. Michelin currently has a $60 off all Michelin tires.
Yes, some people have the notion that Costco tire employees may not be the best in the business at mounting tires, but I think for stock wheels, they did a fine job.
