Default 3 piece rim questions

I'm going crazy or I'm really stupid. I'm looking for replacement barrels, and when they say "40" hole is it 40 rivets? So if I want to replace this, this is a "20" hole? If that's true will a 40 hole fit this 20 hole or do I need to buy 20 hole barrels? Googling this does not help me at all so any help is appreciated! Killing myself here looking for some replacement lips.

No 40 on the barrel. Look and count the holes you see behind the wheels.

And not all 40 hole wheels have the same hole diameter and PCD. For example, most Japanese wheels use a slightly different PCD (pitch circle diameter) than the American made 3-piece wheels.

Once upon a time, I re-barreled a set of Work wheels for a friend and i had to re-drill the US-made inner and outer rims - it was a HUGE pain. The Japanese brands do not sell rim pieces alone, only complete wheels. Kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me.

What wheel/s are you trying to rebuild? SocalSC4 is 100% correct. Even American made parts made with the "traditional" 40 hole cut run the risk of not fitting as many manufactures have different ways of having their wheels built. You also have to take into consideration the size of bolts you have. Most companies use M7's but Forgiato's lines, and Asanti's lines use M8's

Lextrician: these are crimson by club linea japan l368 20 inch rims. I bought them off a member from here who originally got it from a member from here. I was looking to redo the rears and put them in the front, as they are now sitting on a g35 coupe. Whos the guy I can talk to about this? Thanks!
