Actually, a 20x8.5 +35 works fine on the GS- it is aggressive (flush with the fender): it's the bolt pattern that kills the deal.

socal, i thought about that and was wary of the +35...thanks

would 20x9, +35 work too?
i know 18x9 +37 or 19x9 +39 are fine

Will: On the second-gen GS, a 9" wide +35 is a bit aggressive- depending on the tire, it may stick out a "butthair" (this is a highly-technical HRE term) at the top of the front fender. It works fine on the rear, though. On a 9.0" I'd recommend a +37 to +42 on the front newer GS.

An 8.5" +35 works fine, however- it is a 1/4" (about 6.35mm) more inboard than a 9.0" +35.

great thanks, that is kind of what i had in mind...

btw, on a side note: would the TRD stock size rotors and pads for 2nd gen GS fit 92-newer SC4?

thanks

That's a great question... to my understanding, the Supra and SC stuff interchange, but I'm not sure that the GS/SC stuff interchanges.

I'll drop Jomar @ TRD a line & see if he knows!

thanks a lot...

i know some of the GS and SC stuff are compatible...my thinking is that the early SC probably does not have the TT breaks, so stock GS break parts(same as NA supra) should work..
