Screwed over at Discount tire HELP
I went to discount tire on July 1st-2nd for the $100 promotion they told me I had 2/32" of tire left on all tires. So I asked them to check my wheels if anything is wrong with them I am probably going to buy new wheels here and then get tires later. Anyway they destroyed one of my tires before they checked the wheels and found 3/4 to be wobbly I guess. Anyway said I could use new wheels. So anyway they found some Tenzo Cuzco's and gave me them at like cost or something. $100 a wheel. Then I ordered Michelon Pilot sport AS tires $308 a tire 19's. so anyway I go and pick up the tires today and drove 1.5 hours over there and then waited another 1-2 hours and then after putting the a tire on a wheel the manager comes over and says "well we have a small problem" and the problem is that the wheel hits the shocks and is probably the wrong offset or something he said. So anyway this cost me $1900 invested in it right now and still no wheels. I had to drive back home again today 1-2 hours or whatever and they told me to call monday to see what they can do. So right now I am in desperate need of wheels or something and don't know what to do. And I don't think Vossen even has the 19" wheels I want. I usually care alot of weight in the car and don't want rubber band tires on them so I don't think 20's will work. and I have a AWD gs300 to begin with. So anyone with any ideas of what to do in this position? or know of any good wheel deals. I like the vossen concave but they won't make them in 19's and I already got the tires over there. I like some of the work chrome ones but dont want to spend $3000 on wheels. I mean the mark up on wheels is incrediable. I got the tenzo's for $100 a wheel and they retail online even for $300 a wheel. like wtf? I don't want to make someone rich by them making $1000 on me for just selling me some wheels.

I forgot to tell you, the wheels that they put on my car were desgined for a ford mustang, the mustang guy didn't get them because they wouldn't clear big breaks or something so they offered them to me saying 1 time only deal. Should I say you know what, you talked me into them and had me wait etc and have them order the righ size and offset for my car for the same price the quoted me? that might be the way to go as I did actually like the way they looked the black and red matched good as $100 for a wheel is pretty cheap.

Well, sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience buying wheels. I have 19" wheels that start in the $150 range (I will attach a link so you can take a look). However, wheels are a very difficult science and should not be a guessing game...many people see the bolt pattern match up and think "ok this will work" when that is only a small piece of the puzzle. Because we're a mail order company it is imperative we get it right the 1st time as shipping back and forth would be cost prohibitive. We have CAD drawings for vehicles we provide wheels for and CAD drawings for the wheels and can easily over lay the two to check all fitment and clearance issues before the wheels ever leave the warehouse..no guess work. If you buy tires at the same time I will ship right to your door mounted, balanced and with new lugs .... all you have to do is bolt them on.
