How much you guys pay for the GETTIN
Hey,
I am recently shopping for the Zauber Gettin 19" chrome wheels. One of my local store quote me for $950 each ($910 for the front 8.5 and $955 for the rear 10).
What is the price you guys get? is that a fair price? thanks

Soon to be "played".. J/K
STOOOOOOOOP already!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Im forced to, I will put potential Gettin' buyers under hypnosis and have them purchase 20" CHROME GIOVANNAS..J/k
In all honesty though, the ALBA "BERTHA" is a MUCH better looking wheel and of much better build quality.....see pic below...

You sure you dont want the "berthas" instead??
Alright alright........If I must help....
Tell your retailer that youve joined a car club that WATCHES OUT for its members and that $950 per wheel is INSANE!!!!! You need to contact GS4Will for the Berthas(I mean Gettins ) and you will get the RIGHT pricing, service, integrity, and most of all accountability that you will not find from MOST retailers..... When I got my Berthas the jp exchange rate was very good. I was able to get 19" staggered Berthas w/Potenza S-03's for $3600, I then said WTF and paid an additional $200 to have them at my door in 1 week...... I have NO idea what the current going rate is for the 19" Gettin(I mean Bertha....keep getting confused) but I THINK around $750 per wheel is realistic....... If you decide to go with the Berthas, Ive got some other COOL bridges for sale as well....PM me for a price....

when it comes to jdm wheel pricing, there are several factors at play:
1. as most would have guessed, exchange rate/time of order...
(tiny, i am glad you ordered them at the time when japan yen was at its all time low; since then, yen has appreciated ~15% in value, and such would acct for ~$300-350/set of wheels)
2. method of freight from japan:
often times i heard from retailers that air feight wil be used to special order these from japan for clienst...BUT, they turn around and waited for more orders been placed and use the slow boat method to save hundreds if not thousands of $$$...how to tell, very easy...if the wheels come in from japan has airline stickers on the pkg, then you got what you paid for)
so basically the summary in difference is that if a shop has them in stock for a while and try to sell them quickly as TL does take somewhat smaller fittment( is it 19x8 or 19x7.5?) than the GS/SC/LS, that price is not a bad deal....
or, if the wheels were imported using slow boat from japan to save money for the client, the difference would be ~$500/set
these are just my humble knowledge from research and experience...
