stretch tire question

Default stretch tire question

i currently running 20x9 - 245/35/20 F and 20x10 or 20x10.5 don't remember - 275/30/20 R. i want to go stretch should i go with 235/30/20 F and 265/30/20 R? This will going on a 98 LS400 w/ bags. thanks

you probably won't notice much of a difference between the two, in fact, there will be more of a difference related to the brand than the difference in those two sizes...

Are you trying to make something fit? Generally, the reason for stretching tires is to get a really wide tire tucked underneath a car - if what you have right now works, why change it?

looks like those two sizes should work out just fine for your wheel widths. you will be quite a bit shorter overall diameter in the front going from a 245/35 (26.77" dia) to a 235/30 (25.71" dia) but you shouldnt have a problem stretching them, im guessing your going smaller on the tire so you can dump it or add spacers?

I had a 225/35/20 and 245/35/20 stretch on my trafficstars fronts were 20x9 and rears 20x10.5 as well. It was nicely stretched too. This should help you out:
