I have a tire that has the steel belt exposed right where the bead would sit. Is it still usable? I would think it might leak there but I can't be sure since I had a mechanic tell me it's still good to use.

Would like the advice of CL members who have more expertise in this area..

Any damage on the sidewalls should be replace no questions asked if you love your life.

Yep, it would leak and lose pressure until it exploded. If your lucky it would go flat at a slow speed but I think you're probably not willing to take that chance
