i have 20x8.5 in front with 245/35.. rear is 20x10 with 275/30.. i need a smaller tire in front and rear to go a little lower..what is the smallest i can put on each safely? thanx

You can put a 235 /30 in front and a 285/25 in the rear.

The rear tire will be about 0.90 inch smaller in diameter than the 275/30 you are currently running.

The 235/30 will be about 1.2 inches smaller than your 245/35.

You could also go a little bigger in front to a 245/30 which will be about 0.5 inch smaller in diameter

isn't a 285/25 going to be wider? i have read a 255/30 will work on 10" rim..i cant go any wider... i have no extra room for a wider rear tire.. thanx again.. i have been trying to find pics of a 255/30 on a 20x10 but cant find any.

It wasn't clear that when you said you wanted to go lower that you wanted a smaller tire width to get clearance to drop the car. I thought you wanted a smaller diameter tire that would lower the car in that manner.

The 285 is a bit wider, but it is also 1 inch diameter smaller than your current set up so you would have more clearance technically, with more gap.

There's plenty 2GS with 255/30's. Why don't you post a request for pics on that forum or do a search using key words like "stretch" or "255/30"
