Post Finally shopping for some 19's. Opinions?

Finally deciding on 19's for my SC400 with do-luck body kit. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about L-Sportlines model IV, Racing Hart M5, and those nice autocouture supremes. Any other suggestions welcome! Maybe some HRE's, but kinda out of my price range. I wish i could though.

Looking specifically for 3 piece rims for that nice lip. No chrome.

Also, do you think i should get staggered setup or just get them same all the way around so that I could rotate and save on tires???

staggered baby. Depends, do you really want to be able to rotate? If you cannot live without it then maybe staggered isn't the way to go.

Sounds like those AC's may be on sale, it is worth a look at and he has them in Silver with a Pol lip. The model IV and the M5 are all tight, good picks man.

okay, real quick. I know MANY of you out there have 19's. how many miles do you have to change tires? 20,000? 30,000? this will be under normal driving conditions.

Do Luck, it will depend on the tire itself. I have done 20K+ miles on a set of Nitto NT555 Extermes...of course, I didn't do burnouts at every light...

As for wheels, I think some Deep Racing wheels (by Garson) would look nice...and they have a SICK SICK lip...19x10 +46 will give you a 122mm rear lip (with a ultra low disk)...for you math majors out there, that's a 4.8" lip...

Go JDM for this one...it'll fit your kit better IMO...price = not cheap but not super expensive...

I was going to do these on my SC400 but I picked a different wheel due to the project goal of the SC400...but I am still looking at these!

Damn Manaray, those lips are f$%&*#g incredible! Those 19x10's with 122mm lips will fit the SC400's with no fender mods? How about a 1st gen GS or UCF 20/21 before?

Do you know of other JDM wheels that fit Lexus cars with lips like that in 19's or 20's without fender mods or adding a widebody kit?

4.8" lip? that's a little excessive in my book. actually, very excessive. i think my max lip would be 2.5". those that manaray showed are starting to look like something off a truck or classic car

That is overkill in my book. They definetely look beautiful like that but imo it would look pretty fugly on any lexus car.

Overkill, maybe, maybe not...and you don't HAVE to get that deep of a lip..that's just the deepest lip for that size you can get that would fit on a Lexus...you can 19 x 9.5 with a +38 Normal Disk that has "only" a 108mm lip...

Will - Close, but not exactly...those are prices for the older Deep Racing...the ones with the exposed bolts...

The new ones, the Ryugi's are as follows...

All prices are JDM Retail and the finish is Painted centers with a high polished lip...

19 x 8.5 = JPY 114,000
19 x 9.5 = JPY 118,000
19 x 10 = JPY 120,000

With the current bank rate, that translate to about $1,140, $1,180 and $1,200...the current exchange rate SUCKS...

GS4Will & Manaray...thanks for the pricing. Pretty steep for some 19's! Then again, you can't find lips like that on other wheels that will fit a Lexus (w/o a wide body kit). Will the 122mm lips fit a 1st gen GS?

yeah man...those lips are a bit excessive. i like them racing harts. the model iv's are pretty nice, but one of my neighbors had them and i got tired of seeing them. the ac's are nice, but i don't think they'll look great on your car. i think the ac's are a bit too conservative. maybe i just need a second look. i'm too tired to think of other wheels...

Daygo, yeah, the prices are steep but that's also due to the bad exchange rate we're experiencing right now...the same wheels that I spec'd will work on a 1st Gen GS.

As far as Racing Harts, I really LOVE the new CR. They just released a one-piece version (which has a small lip) but it only comes in 17" and 18"... If they made 19's, it would be a good low cost wheel for the GS, SC, and the IS...

The multi-piece CR's are also very nice and do come in 19" but the price is higher...

Daygo, if you would seriously like a set of the Garson's, PM me...but you have to be serious...

Personally, I think the super deep dish would look SICK on either a SC or GS...too deep? I don't think so...that Supra CLK with the 19" WIDE HRE's (hehehe...I think it was a 13") had too deep of a lip...you had to look "inside" the wheel to see the centers!

I'll see if I can dig up a picture of that wheel actually on a car (but I doubt I'll find a SC or GS...)
