Default How much tire pressure is good?

Hey guys, I think for the first time since I had my wheels and tires put on (5 months) I checked my tire pressure w/ a new digital tire guage. The back tires read 38 and the fronts read 39.5. Now, I have 245/35/19's all around. Does anyone know what he correct tire pressure should be. Is there a range it needs to be in. I thought that was a little high so I lowered the pressure to 37 all around...thanks.

Read the rating on the tire itself on the sidewall. Once you note the value set the cold tire pressure to that level and then drive around. Slowly let a little pressure out of the tires until you get the feel you like.

I'm looking for tire pressure that results in best rim protection (from bends).

Late.

I just checked the sidewall and it said not to go over 40. I think I'll keep mine at 38.
