Question Run flat tires?

Has anyone replaced their Bridgestone run flat's for the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT? Are they any better than the Bridgestone's witch don't appear to be all that good.

I don't know about the Goodyear's, but I would agree with you that the Bridgestone tires aren't very good. They don't seem to grip the road well at all.

I wanted to get 1000 miles on the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT before comment. My opinion is to get rid of the "flintstone" era Bridgestones and replace them with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT 77 of those miles are track miles and handled it with flying colors. At $218.00 ea they are a steal, the dealer wanted $627.00 ea for those worthless Bridgestones.

BILL B-

Bill, I need help - actually your opinion.

As I am somewhere close to replacing my non-runflat tires . . .
do you think the Goodyears might be as good as regular non-runflats?

It was a no brainer before - go with non-runflats until I saw your review of the Goodyears.

What do you think??

NREIFF, You shouldn't use run flats without the sensors that monitor the air pressure in
the tire. I have used non run flat Goodyear tires on other cars and have been happy with
them. At present I run just about every major tire on my cars. Michelins on the viper,
Dunlop's on the 540i , Pirelli's on the 911 ect ect. I do like the Goodyear's and you will
probably notice an improvement over the Bridgestone's

BILLB-

My SC has the tire pressure sensors although it came with the Dunlop tires.

My question to you is simply whether the Goodyear runflats handle as well as non-runflats.

Since it seems that runflats are now standard on the SC, I am simply wondering whether Lexus and Goodyear have come together with a great performance tire regardless of it being a RF tire.

The tire is/was for another application I believe the Vet. I do believe that they handle as
good as non run flat tires. Keep in mind that the side walls on run flat tires are very ridged.
