It's time from some new pads on my LS460 and wanted to make the switch to ceramic. Just curious what the best ceramic pads were and if there are any recommendations on where to pick some up.

If the car wasn't designed for ceramics, not sure I would switch.

Benefit - less dust, quieter sometimes

Downside - less stopping power, less fade resistance

these are general claims, but backed my most testing of semi-metallic versus ceramics...

there is also a possibility that a ceramic pad put on a rotor designed for semi-metallic pads will wear faster...

axxis/PBR deluxe ceramic or Ultimates are my personal favorite, as are EBC RedStuff (green stuff is organic)

Endless pads have saved me a couple times.

Ultimate is a very aggressive ceramic. If you are looking for high performance street pad that would be the best affordable pads (until you get to carbo tech). However if you want a low dust quiet ride, they are no better than semi metallic.
