17 is way to small for aftermarket wheels for the GS. At least 18's, 19's or 20's fit the wheel wells better.

The reason im not gettin 18s is because then i would have to lower the car, and i dont want to do that because im leasing it. But the 16s really look bad on the GS so i wanna get 17s to make it look and handle a little better.
What are some 17in JDM wheels i can buy for like 1500?

17's you'll still have a decent gap between your tire and fender.
Some good JDM wheels are WORK.

well,

if your car is a lease adn you do not plan to lower it then stay with 17s as you mentioned.

take a look:

www.work-wheels.co.jp

hmmm but most work wheels are close to $2k range...how about volk GT-P ot GT-C in 17s...

I agree, you should check out SSR GT1's(17.8 lbs each/ 17x8). They are fairly light and will run you around $1500 w/Tax.

Why not just get stock 17" GS wheels? Aftermarket 17" wheels look lame on a GS...

I think with tires it's around 54#'s...would depend on the tire too...dunno about the chrome...but I have one (spare), I will weigh it one day (with the factory tire...whatever it is...)

Jac, next time I run into a stock 17" wheel (chrome or otherwise), I'll try to get a weight on it...
