Default Yokohoma S-drives vs Hankook k110 (Ventus V12 Evo)

Hey guys,

im down to the wire on ordering these rims. here is another one i need advice on. i have an option of 19" hankook k110 Ventus v12 evo tires or yokohoma s-drives for 180 more. im willing to pay that only if it is really really a better tire.

any feeback from members with these 2 types of tires. is the 180 diff worth it?

thanks

i just got the v12s and they are an awesome tire. too bad i could use the fronts for my 20s because they are bigger size for size compared to the falkens I had. I am only using the rears right now and they are really quiet and grip nicely from what Ive seen. If you read around the web, v12's are great and out perform tires 3-4 times the price.

Yokohama S-Drive is 8/10. But it will only last 20-25k miles and it's time for new ones.

They are great in handling wet or dry. Check out the reviews.

You rather get hankooks if you haven't heard of the infamous falken 452.

I have S.drives and I think they are a solid tire. They have lasted me about 27k miles so far and they are low but not bald. They are pretty smooth and quiet tires. A friend had FK452's and they were louder than mine. From my research, the Yoko's are usually cheaper than the Hankooks, if the V12's are cheaper than go for it. They out performed the Yoko's in a test on car and driver. They got the same ride quality and noise quality ratings. I'm just curious at how long the tread will last on the Hankook's. I am interested in them, if they last just as long I am all over them.

I'm in my final deciding stage as well for my new 19's due to arrive in a week or so..it's either the Hankooks of the Falkens..Iv'e heard both are great, but from the looks and details seems like I'm sliding towards Hankook, the reviews are GrEaT..as for the Falkens I hear they are worth it but ride noise is a downfall..helpp me haha!
