With the stretch look of the latest trend, I don't think why not?
But I won't do it on my car though.

i was actually told to run a 245/30 over a 10.5" and i could dd with. but i feel more comfortable with a taller sidewall.

ive seen 225/40 on a 10.5
225/35 over a 10
225/40 over a 10.5

for every 12 mm is a half inch. now im doing a 245/35 which would almost be a full inch wider on the same width wheel.

i've been DD'ing 245/35-20 on a 10.5j wheel for the past couple years with no problems.

dont have any current pics though unfortunately. it all comes down to which tire you use, Nitto NT555 have been working great for me, though i cant recco too much else for this much stretch. I would def. not run falken FK452 though, as they're known to bubble up pretty badly when stretched.

i run 225/35-20 on a 9j, you're still technically within the tire's OE-Specs, so that's not even a stretch.
