Default Hankook Ventus V12 run wide or true to their size? Comparison to Falken 452's?

Pretty much decided on the Hankooks and I'm wondering if they run true to their size?

More specifically, can anyone compare them to Falken 452's of the same size? The Falkens are all I've had on the GS and I think I might remember hearing they run a little wide. I'd like to stay close to the actual widths I have right now.

I just replaced my front tires from 245 452s to 255 V12s and yes, they are wider than the 10mm difference in specs.

Tis postmigh be a litle misleading. ou ordered a wider tire width and are reporting a 10mm wider track. Of course it's wider. The OP quesstion was in essense are 452's true to size and/or run wider than the new Hankook V12.

Question is still pending.

its hankooks sidewall design which makes the a tad bit wider. we change from hankook 255's to advan 255's and rubbing was greatly lessened

the difference between the two should be 10mm, the actual difference is MORE than 10mm. Does that clarify it for you?

I followed you, not quite what I wanted to hear but I followed. I'd like to go a little narrower if anything but the Hankooks don't come a size smaller for the front. Got multiple scenario's running through my head now.

I've been hearing alot of good things, especially for the price. If they came in a 235/35/20 I'd probably be ordering them right now, I'm not sure how a 245 would fit if I space out my wheels, especially if they're a little fatter than my Falkens.

However, the section width for the 245/35 Hankooks is only .2 wider than the Falkens and the Hankook tread width is .4 narrower if I read the charts right. I don't know enough to decide how much these numbers mean once the tires are mounted but if the tread was a little narrower I might be ok.

This is ending up being stressful. My tires are square with the wheels right now, I want to get just a little angle to the tires but I'd be nervous about wheel protection stretching too much or going much lower profile with the amount of highway I do.

End of rant!

When talking tread width the Falkens are consistently wider than the Hankooks when installed on the same wheel.

So yes the Hankooks run wider? Meaning if I did a 225 on a 9.5 it'll be like a 235?

I'm gonna pick up the spacers and then figure out exactly where I'm at, I'm not going too aggressive but it'll be close with 245's. I'd like to do the Hankooks but I may end up with something else.
