Question Need Help On 20 Inch Rim Question

I am in the market for some rims and came across some ADR sterling, bad thing is only in 18x8.5 or 20x8.5. My questions to you guys are:

1.) Will I have to do any modds to fit 20x8.5 on my 98 GS400?
2.) What off set should I get I'm thinking +38?
3.) This is gonna be a package deal, includes tires. The tires are Falken 255/35/20. is that gonna work on the fronts without rubbing?
4.) What is the widest size tire I can fit on a 8.5 inch wide rim?
5.) Can anyone beat this package deal? ADR Sterlings 20x8.5 Chrome. Falken 255/35/20.....all for 2649.00 shipped to your door... NO BLEMISH RIMS EITHER!!!!!! you can answer the questions here but If you can beat that package deal PM ME!

Don't know much about the ADRs... however, a 20x8.5 +38 fits the GS easily. The preferred tire would really be a 245/35zr20: 255/35zr20 is technically a bit wide for an 8.5" rim, but will fit fine nonetheless.

$2649 is cheap for 20s with tires: about what two of my 19" 546R HRE wheels alone cost!
At that price, you might consider buying a fifth wheel to keep as a spare in case you twang one.

I don't really know how wide my stock 17inch is but on the rear rims I have 255/45/17 but will the 255/35/20 fit on the front ok?

You may want spacers in the rear because I have x8 and x9 front and back respectively and the 9 is almost flush but no cigar. Your tires are directional so rotation is not an option so might as well make the rims look flush.

It's cool that you can get those rims for that price and it's impressive but man, 4 20" tires alone cost ~1400 for Falkens right, Are you sayiing the rims are not even $500 each? Plus they're CHROME? Are they one peice?

Yeah I beleive they are one peice! Why should I get spacers. please get more into detail, I thought you correct that look by getting a different off set.

ADR's are cheap for a reason....

8.5" +38 will be just fine...but I'd do some better wheels...ADR's belong on Civics and Integras...

I would buy some more expensive ones but then I won't have any money left for the S/C (stage3.5)

Then just ride the stock wheels for a while...save up and buy something better rather than desperately buying some cheap wheels now...

I was told by alot of people that ADR are not a CHEAP wheel!!! I know you can't compare it to a HRE wheel which is a custom wheel . Its like trying to compare my Lexus with a M5...... lower price doesn't make the product bad does it I think 2700.00 for some wheels or pretty expensive:eek: I have alot of friends that put 5000.00 rims on their lexus and still stay with there parents @ 24 to 26 .......LOL now thats cheap

ADR is crap. $2700 for ADR's is a rip off...I'd rather have some JDM wheels imported for that price...ADR 20's should cost no more than $2000 at FULL RETAIL...

I ended up with knockoff junk before I came to this site because I didn't know any better, wheels are not my forte'. But you know ADR are junk, why buy them? I mean for $2700 or a few hundred more you can get some very nice and high quality wheels. I think it was like 3000-3500 I was quoted for some SSR or Versus wheels with tires. If you look around and ask around the forums, I am sure you can find some brands that make great wheels and I know many people on here will give you a good quote. Why toss knock-off junk on your pimped Gs400 with a $10,000+ Stage 3.5 setup? And comparing to a M5? Then why get heavy Chrome 20” wheels? Granted I am a chrome fan, but then again I am not trying to improve my vehicles overall speed..
