havent driven my car for quite some time and noticed the bolts on my 3 piece wheels are rusting. Any good way to remove the rust without disassembling the rim?

I would say some sort of cleaner and a brush. And when cleaned spray some clear coat to prevent buildup in the future.

I would say it depends on how far the rust has penetrated the metal. I think if it is only slight rust on the top layer of the metal, you can probably wire brush some of it off and clean it, then spray a protective layer. You should have a professional wheel shop look at it. You don't want it to rust all the way then when the time comes to disassemble the wheel the bolts can't be removed.
