Default Help on tire setup

I was wondering if I can get some input/advice on my tire set up. I have an IS250 AWD. My previous setup was 235/35/19 all around. Recently I found a used set of Potenza's RFT that is in great condition but the sizes are 245/40/19. The back fits fine but with the front I had to cut a lil plastic piece out so that it could clear when I steer. Also a little bump in the fender is rubbing every time I steer.

- I was wondering how people get it so flushed into the wheel well and not have it rubbing against the inner fenders? Do they remove the inner fenders? I want a really flushed look and want to avoid rubbing.

- With the look of the wheel/tire sitting well under the wheel wells, how do people do that? Are there problems with steering/rubbing in that kind of set up?

- What are your advice(s) when I lower the car. Would I be stupid or crazy to lower it with those thick tires on?

crazy to lower it with those tires, yes, it will be like you are hitting big bumps all the time pretty much...

people get those crazy flushed looks by running narrowish tires on wide wheels with lower offsets, and rolling the fenders... done properly, there are no problems with rubbing or steering...

I would do your car a favor and put the correct size back on... those are hurting your fuel mileage and your speedometer is inaccurate...

if you want to do this right, it is going to take some money... get lower offset wheels with a close to stock tire size, then lower it... roll the fenders...

you can probably find someone on here that has already done that on an IS250 AWD to find out what fits perfectly to reduce the guessing game a little...
