TPMS Question: pre-4/06 sensors in post-4/06 2IS

(Mods, I hope you don't mind that I posted this in 2 sections....just trying to broaden the viewing audience)
I've searched and searched and searched, and PM'd multiple techies on the forum, but have not found a truly definitive answer to this question (some have said should, some have said not sure):
Can the pre-4/06 TPMS sensors be programmed into a post-4/06 2IS???
Does anyone actually know for sure, and if so please respond.
Again, pre-4/06 sensors in a newer 2IS (including 2010), not vice versa, which has already been confirmed to work.
Thanks, and please try to keep the "I thinks" to a minimum......a lot of people saying "I think" doesn't really confirm anything and will probably just lead to a biased opinion......a simple "I don't know" would probably be more effective for me

THEY DO WORK!!!!!!!!!! The dealership was able to program my pre-4/06 sensors to my 2010 vert.
Sorry, I'm just a little excited cause it means I don't have to bust loose my spider wheels.
(ps: I don't know if it will work for post 4/06 to 09 models though. All I can say is that it worked on my 2010.)
