Here's the deal. I drive a 1996 SC400.

I want to get the Motegi Racing SP10s in 18", but they are not listed when I input my car. They only have them at 17". Why would I not be able to put these at 18" when I can put others at 18"? The offset and all that bumbo-jumbo cannot be completely out of spec with my car, right?

What I'm trying to say is, according to Tire Rack, I can get these tires in 17"... NOT 18"... Why, oh why?

I'm a rim and tire noob, so you know... How credible is TireRack when it comes to picking compatibility.

they are credible, of course, as the largest online retailer of tires and wheels, they've definitely got something going for them... now, to say that their fitment guide, or any fitment guide is 100%, is laughable... there are so many different wheels and so many different cars that it is impossible to guarantee 100% fitment...

that being said, those wheels should fit so long as they are somewhere between 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 and +35 to +45 offset, with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern... generally, thats the easy stuff... if you want a flush fit, there is more info, but, you probably won't get it with these wheels...
