1 of 4 tires bald?
is it possible for just one tire to be pretty much bald while the other 3 have a good 50% tread left? i noticed the front left tire of my parents' accord which i gave to them a few several months ago is pretty much done. can this be possible? what would cause this? bad alignment? its last tire rotation was probably..... 8,000 miles ago. i know at the time i gave it to them the tire was not in that condition.

Two possibilities come immediately to mind:
1. Low air pressure (nail in tire, bad valve stem, etc.).
2. Damage, such as from striking curb (how does it steer?), which would result in incorrect alignment.
The fixes are easy, but should be accomplished asap.
