I to wanted a nice mesh style rim like the vs-xx but couldnt afford it. I went with the donz montanas and they look really nice and dont look cheap like most of the other ones. However they only come in 20s. I wanted 19s but settled on 20s and it was worth it.

The Donz Montanas are a copy of the Zone 1.

I don't know of a decent replica of the VS-XX. That's actually a good thing.

If you have a few bucks to spend, look at the SSR MS1-R. These are real three-piece and still not cheap, but you can order widths and offsets to your liking.

The one-piece replica versions of three-piece wheels usually look cheap to me.

The SSR Vienna LM9 is a good non-step lip replacement too. Definitely worth a look.
