Default 295/30/18

Well springtime is just about here which means it's wheel time. I've settled on the wheels I want and am now simply trying to decide on rear wheel width. Is anyone actually running 295/30/18s on the back of their GS?

If so any problems with rubbing? What offset, what tires?

I notice that this size limits me to Pirelli or Yokohama tires so that may help make my decision (I was leaning towards the Michelin Pilot Sports).

I've searched and not found much though I've seen several mentions of mkilty running something like this.

Thanks for all the help guys during my wheel quest.

I don't think that will fit WITHOUT mods to the rear fender.

I'm running these on my Supra TT... I have the Pirellis... I'm getting the Yokos next time... better wet traction.

I'd get on the horn with a wheel guy experienced with the GS and talk about offsets. You may be able to pull this off with no mods to your car...

If you don't know of a wheel guy let me know. Good luck.

It will work so long as you're suspension never compresses to the point where the tire hits the fender...otherwise, 275 is your best bet.

LOL!!! Interesting definition of "work".

Thanks. I guess 275 it will be but I'm not sure how I'm going to get any traction...

Why don't you just modify the inner edge of the fender?

That's what the Supra guys do. Any good body shop should be able to modify it such that you can't even tell that it has been done...

The 295/30zr19 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetricos are disco'd... too bad, or I'd have these on the SC4. Pirelli doesn't yet make it in the Rosso- maybe not until the end of 2002, according to a friend at Pirelli.

Right now, I'm afraid 285/30zr18 is as big as you'll be able to find, tire-wise. Bridgestone has 'em in the S-03 and Michelin has 'em in the Pilot Sport. On the GS, you're going to need fender rolling...

Or, you can coin-up for the Pirelli P-Zero in 305/25zr19 (seroius mods for the GS, should work fine on both of the SCs), paired with the 255/30zr19 front. I've considered this combo myself, but I drive 100 miles/day...

call me insane but i think im gona go with the

255/40/18 front and

295/35/18 rear!!

Bridgestone Potenza SO-2 makes tires in both these sizes... hopefully yokohama will release the AVS Sport in the 255/40/18 size or the SO-3 in that size because the SO-2 is going out of production right?

well either way thats my current setting!!!

This is the set up I'll be running on my Supra. HRE 445R 19x9.5/11 S03 265/35/19s and PZero 305/25/19s. I am having one hell of a time getting my hands on the 305s though.

As far as the GS sizing goes, I would stick to a 275. A 275 S03 will provide more than enough traction. (On my 900HP Supra I find 275 S03s will hook in second gear)

Or run 305s and -3.5 camber
