I take it that Altstadt is the way to go, what type and rim size would be better, also chrome or silver. I just bought 2002 GS 300 blue onyx and need to get some rims to replace the stock 16"

Personally, I'm not a fan of chrome. I like "diamond cut" (machine finish). Or, if you really like "bling, bling", get high polished wheels instead of chrome.
Type, this is up to you. There are three basics, Spoke, Dish, and Mesh...you'll have to look around and see what you like. Here's some links...you can also read some posts in this forum...this topic has been beaten to death many times...
