Question T1R Titanium Lug Nuts!!!!!!(why?)

I was surfing online today looking for a set of Titanium Lug Nuts for my BBS RS-GT's. And I came across a set of T1R Titanium Lug Nuts. And they retail at $500+ dollars per set. Can anyone tell me why they are so expensive? A good set of Lug Nuts only runs about $150-$200....... Thanks

while titanium is stronger and lighter, they are very easy to be scuffed, so if you touch your lugs all the time, I don't think it'll be a good thing, and paying all that for what? to shave like total of 1 lbs?

i think it's more for track applications than for street...shaving 1 lb could mean the difference between winning or losing the race.

They just look good...

Actually I bought a set when I had my Civic, but they fit toyota/lexus as well so they went on my GS for a while. Not for everyone but w/e. I had a set, wheel shop lost one of them so I had 19... not a complete set. Ended up selling them back and making some money.
