Default Installing new shoes

Tried to install some new rims today, ran into a problem. The sockets for the lug nuts are a bit too narrow for my oem wrench to fit inside. I can hand tight them, however, the tire is still loose. Anyone have any ideas?

Take a pic of the lugs if i have a spare lug key ill send it to you until you can get the right wrench for it.

Is it like an extension or something?

New specs on lugs are 12x1.50

i am struggling to understand what you're asking? the sockets for the lug nuts are too narrow for oem wrench to fit inside? wtf?

do you mean you cant get your oem wrench onto the lug nut to tighten it once it is inside the mag wheel? ive never had an issue i just use my socket set which has different sized socket and i find the one that fits in the hole and onto the lug and tighten it..

You know the holes for the lug nuts? Mine are too narrow on my 20" rims. Lug nut pattern is 12x1.50... which is MUCH smaller than original, ergo, I can't fit the wrench in there... If you don't understand... search.

Get a thin wall socket. I used the aluminum kind that come with the poly sleeve on it. I had to pull the sleeve off to make it fit.

sounds like to me you need a tuner lug wrench. are you going from stock wheels to aftermarket or from aftermarket to newer aftermarket?

They should have come with the tuner lugs you bought. I have a spare one but that won't do you any good since you need to tighten them now

It will look like this below....

This is correct assuming he is using lugs that require a special socket. If he is using regular lugs and the socket does not fit he will need to get a thin wall socket OR tuner lugs that use a smaller socket OR special tuner lugs like you have pictured that include their own socket.

What do you actually have OP? Pics?
