Would a 245/40/18 fit better on a 18x8 rim for the rear or should I stick with the true 255/40/18 rear...just letting you know that I don't want the sidewall to bulge too much over the rim lip but if I can get by with slight bulge I'd rather fit it too spec...I am going for a look for a wide stance but still low profile look in the rear of an IS! Thanks!

245s should have no problems fitting on an 8 inch wide wheel. Have that exact size on my 8.5s and has some decent meat on the sides. Enough to help with curb rashes.
