NAPA Adaptive One Brake Pads vs OEM?
Can anyone tell me whether they have tried the NAPA Adaptive One Hybrid Ceramic Brake Pads? How did they work and should I stay OEM?
I have a 97 ES 300.

funny story - we deal with Napa quite a bit for some aftermarket replacement parts - for the most part, they have some pretty quality pieces...
the district manager from Napa brought us his Chevy 1500 truck and a set of their Adaptive One pads to install for him. The rotors were plenty thick enough, so we turned the rotors, cleaned them, did all the maintenance to the calipers, lube the slide pins and such, grease them where needed, etc. installed their pads and they have squealed (not all the time, but 50% maybe) since about 500 miles after installation...
now, I'm not saying they aren't good pads - that's the only experience I have with them, however, they are quite pricey when compared to OEM or another name brand like Wagner. We rarely ever have a noise problem with the Wagner pads...
