Default 19 x 9.5 rims on SC400

i'm thinking about buying some 19 x 9.5 rims from a guy who had a GS300. would these rub in the rear of the SC?

does the GS300 and SC400 share the same offset? please help ,

I'm not sure of the GS/SC stock offset, but I do know that just because tires don't rub on one car, doesn't mean they will not on another. For instance, you may have an SC400 and sell rims to another SC400 owner; however, that car may have less negative camber than yours and rub.

Also, the tire size, along with wheel width and offset, is needed to know if they'll rub. My gut feeling is no, but you could put a 305 on a 9.5" rim.

Funny you mention the 305, because I had the thought of putting the following on my SC400:

19x9 255/30zr19 Pirelli P-Zero
19x11 305/25zr19 Pirelli P-Zero

I've done this on Porsche 993 and 996 Turbos, and it works great (the overall tire diameters are the same).

My only concern on the SC is that the sidewalls are extremely short, which on a large car like an SC can give the appearance of having no tires at all! YUCK!

Truth be known, I haven't found/purchased the 'right' car yet (looking for a '95 or '96 Silver on black). As soon as I get one, I'll measure it to determine the "max widths" for it.

Here's a shot of our SEMA 996 Turbo cab with the above set-up:
