Best 20" Tires?
I just ordered Modulare M3 wheels for my 2007 LS460. I am going with a staggered set-up with 20X9's in front and 20X10.5 in the rear.
I have not yet decided on the tire brand yet. What is the BEST tire for this setup on an LS460?
I drive in Southern CA where snow is never an issue, and it very seldom rains. I will give up some performance for increased tread life. I really don't want to be replacing tires every 10K miles......
Thanks!

no way are you going to get 20 to 30k out of 20" performance tires. first you can't rotate, second it's so cal driving (stop and go and tons of turning), and third the ls is heavy. plan on 12 to 18k max!

I got 30k out of my BFG KDW's on the rear! of my car running -2.5 degrees of camber for most of their life... that was 275/30-19's, and never once rotated or swapped sides or anything...
proper alignment (toe, moreso than camber), air pressure, and not driving stupid all the time, and no issues at all... I actually replaced them before they were completely worn out as well...

I have to back up mitsuguy. I to on my GS have been able to get in the 20's out of a set. Mine are also a staggered setup so they were never moved also BFG's, alignments are the key.

As someone on my third set of staggered 20s, I've gone through Bridgestones, Michelins, Toyos. My favorites were the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. The A/S was just in case of rain. As long as your alignment and tire pressure is set up well, there is no problem of driving 20-30k even with the occasional spirited driving. The Michelins offered the most comfortable ride although the noise does increase late into 20k. The Bridgestones were the WORST tire I ever had. Toyos fall right in between but you can't beat the price. I almost regret not paying almost double the price of the Toyos to get the Michelins but I've been trying to sell the wheels so any decent tire was okay. Good luck on your choice and look forward to pictures.

I second the above. I have these on my 20's and they are great. Average price too, not too expensive and not cheap either.
Here are some pictures of them:
