Gettin ready for another NE winter!
Just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 performance winter tires for my 06 GS300 AWD.
I never thought I would say this, but I hope it snows blizzards all winter. I want to see what this combo can do.

( actually one snow storm will do.......I hate shoveling)

They will be good not so much for acceleration, but your cornering and braking will be much improved. I have used winter tires here in Massachusetts for many years (rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, all wheel drive) and they outperform "all season" tires by alot. Put them on at Thanksgiving, and remove them by mid March. They are a softer rubber compound and will wear out in the warm weather.

Nice choice for tires!
Please let us know how it goes. I've been running A/S tires on various AWD cars since 1990 and always wondered what the difference would be with dedicated winter tires.
