Question Quietest, smooth tire on stock 06 gs300?

In need of some new tires soon....currently have Yokohama Advans or something similar.....they seem very sporty and loud at higher speeds......any rec's on a little quieter tire......recognize they will all be a bit sporty, but these Yokohamas seem real loud to me......have been used to LS

thx

If you have 18s on your car then I would have to say the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. They are a non-runflat and are a great tire, but are pricey compared to your old Yokos.

btw PS2 are summer tires
not sure if OP is looking for all-seasons or summers

some of the tire suggestions in this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=376052 are also valid for here

otherwise, Michelin Pilot Primacy is a confident yet very quiet riding tire

if you want a little more sportiness, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S

I just had this same question ... I researched and researched for a good All Season QUIET/SMOOTH tire for my GS. I finally decided on the Falken 912 tire. 245/40/18. It's All Season, has a 45k warranty (which most tires in this size don't come with). They are SOOOOO much smoother and quieter than my Yoko's that came with the car. It's like having an entirely different car.

The best part... I found them for $101 a tire... Discount Tire Online price matched and actually beat them with a price of $91 a tire...with $40 shipping. Had them installed at local tire shop for $65. Saved about $300 over what it would have cost at Sears for the same tire. You can go see the 912's at Sears if you want to look at them first... TireRack.com has some reviews on it. I couldn't be happier with it.

I doubt we have reviews on the 912's since we don't sell them. We would need to know what size you are running probably to make a good recommendation, since that car can use a couple different sizes.
