Lightwieght Lug nuts safe?
Just curious, I see these forged aluminum lightweight lug nuts all over the place that have a plain tapered end. Now, my OEM lugnuts have a nipple/straight end after that fits into the holes in the wheels. Are these plain tapered nuts safe to use on our cars? I'd think the OEM nuts would better hold the wheels in place.

I have never seen a failure due to use of a lightweight lug nut...
however, they cannot be used with factory wheels...
factory wheels use a mag-shank lug nut, whereas the aftermarket lugs (and wheels) typically use a acorn seat lug nut... they are not cross compatible...
